A study by Dadfar, F., & Bamdad, K. (2019) looked at the effect of Sage extract on the menopausal symptoms in menopausal women and concluded that tablets were effective in treatment of hot flashes, night sweats, and other menopausal symptoms in menopausal women. Thus, they can be considered as an alternative therapy for the
individuals who are not able to use HRT. The findings of the current study showed that extracts of sage significantly reduced the frequency, severity, and duration of hot flashes and night sweats and improved the menopausal symptoms in menopausal women. Hence, this safe and effective herb can be recommended for treatment of menopausal symptoms.
